"what's next for me?" (acting emo-_-)

Rejections from both local unis, it's depressing though but what can i do but to accept it? This is part and parcel of life, my case couldn't be worser than others there who aren't as fortunate as me. My current plans right now: Submitted my appeals and desperately hoping for something miraculous to bestow upon me, but i'm not gonna put high hopes on that. Reason: Chances of successful unis appeal are rare. So what if i did achieve something in a cca, that itself may not be sufficient enough to secure me a place. I'm just wondering if i play for the Singapore women's table tennis team,I'll be 100% guaranteed a space in the local unis. HAHA...but that's not gonna happen cause i suck at table tennis. Me as the next Feng Tian Wei? NAH!

Alright,so when my plans are not going wherever it was originally heading to, there's gonna be a backup plan just in case everything backfires. And that's why i'm opting for uniSIM's arts and social science degree. But i'll not be doing Chinese again! I shall broaden my career options rather than corner myself into limited choices like chinese media and teaching. So yeah,that's plan B.

After my contract with wanbao ended in late April, i'm slightly active in the local floorball scenes. I had a major MIA due to work,work and more work. That partly has done some effect on my attendance/committment,hence I fail to make the cut for Div 1 team, so that makes me "relegated" to play in Div 2. I'm not that depressed compared to unis rejection,maybe it hadn't hit me hard enough. All in all, we're still the same team as a whole, but the fact that a team is divided by league differences made me feel less bonded than before. Anyway, Div 1 has finally kicked off after so long(5 months). Div 2 tentatively starts in September.

最近很忙，博客很久没更新，觉得太空了。正好今天心血来潮，就写点东西来抒发咯。=)

曾几何时，觉得自己来过这个地方。踩在这崎岖不平的道路泥泞，看着先前被别人留下的痕迹，恍然又回到过去。这些零零碎碎的片段，似有若无地勾起我的记忆。原来我在N年前的某月某日某刻，正与你们编织美好的回忆。回想当初，真是令人意犹未尽。一直以来，人为纪念某个人或事物，利用一些象征性的物品加以怀念。

美丽的时光总是那么短暂，转眼间时间已抛下我，逐渐在新的空间中制造全新的人、事、物。世界那么大，就有数亿人与我生存在这个宇宙，一同呼吸着环绕在我俩身旁的空气。我曾想过就算这世界少了一个人，宇宙不会因此摧毁，地球也不可能停止运作。人类都是渺小可怜的动物。当你有一天不存在，留了个空位子，自然有另一人负责替补。在工作领域上，亦是残忍的恶性循环。但在情感方面，没有人能顶替你作为一个朋友或家人的身份。在广阔无边的宇宙，有上千万个家庭、数亿万人处在这小星球里。有些人能成为一位无人不知无人不晓的大人物，深受多人爱戴和崇拜，那我很肯定他不是总统、亿万富翁、就是王族。能成为这些重量级人物，大家都求之不得，但不是人人都能当。身为平凡星球人，我们没有必要奢求能成为宇宙世界里一个伟人，如果“没有那么大的头，就不要戴那么大的帽子”，做个普普通通的人就好。渺小的星球人只需得到家人和朋友的认可，就像每天能饱餐一样，即刻满足。

I just realised my last post was dated 8 April which means i had not blogged for 1 month. Work in wanbao have been keeping me busy up till my last day. Plus, the convenience of Facebook and Twitter makes my everyday updates much easier and faster. Blogging can take up to 1-2hr,with the addition of pictures and drafting of the blog entry. But, leaving a Facebook status doesn't require much time and effort. What's best? Twitter limits users to tweet at a word limit of 140 characters, implying that everything had to be kept short and sweet. There is also more interaction with friends on Facebook & Twitter, as compared to blogging which serves its purpose of an online diary corner.

An update of what i'm doing. I left wanbao at the end of april after my 2 months contract ended.
I would say i'm not officially saying goodbyes to working, as i still need to work to generate more income for my daily expenditures. ^-^ I'm now working in a small media company, that pays according to projects i take up, will look out for tuition assignments along the way too.

With the convenience of an Iphone, my sis occasionally love surfing youtube videos and she recommended this Kuso version of Twilight filmed & acted by asian students. It's real funny only if you have watched the original version. ROFL~ enjoy!

Things didn't started off well today.I was almost late for BTT,reaching at 1025am when my test was 1030. Majority of the questions were giveaways, but there were just a few questions that caught me off guard or left me scratching my head. Gosh, i really think they should implement a marking grade,rather than flash a "failed" or "passed" after you submitted your answers. It's like an immediate result indicating success or failure. Feeling slightly dejected, i proceeded down to the administration office and booked a next test date, which will be on 7th June. It'll be another 2 months...till then I'm gonna wait, mugged the highway codes by heart and conquer BTT again!

Sometime last year, i was back in Wuhan for my chinese immersion trip. 127 days in a foreign land, with friends in T02. Be it birthday celebrations,cultural trips,ktvs and mugging...we were almost enjoying every minute we had, and cherishing the times we spend together. Fast enough,time has travelled till 2010, April. Nowadays, fixing a time for meet ups were much difficult than before.

An update on what I'm doing now. I'm still at wanbao,as a temp reporter. Stress-wise, slightly lesser than my intern days, but every job has its stressing factor,so guess I'm not spared too. I've been here like for 1 month already and 1 more month later, I'll bid goodbyes to my colleagues. Honestly speaking, I have no slightest intention to stay on, hence I'm searching for greener & richer pastures. The truth is,I'm not paid much. So why stay on in an environment which is the prime source of my pimples outbreak? But, being a reporter does generates a greater sense of satisfaction than other jobs. I like what I'm doing, but sometimes certain reasons deter me from loving it even more.

This coming Thursday-8th April, I'm gonna take my BTT. Currently mugging for that, taken a day's off too. Wish me luck! On top of that, it'll be 3 straight days of rest till Sunday. YAY =)

Universal Studio Singapore

2 of my colleagues had the special privilege of a sneak media preview at USS,which made me super envious cause they can try the rides for free! The universal studio symbolic icon was taken on my of my assignments,cheap thrill for me to prove that i went there. Truth was,I was doing my interviews just the outside of USS, and couldn't go in as the official opening is on 18th March. Plus the tickets are selling hot and fast.

To me USS seems fun and family orientated theme park,though i hadn't really stepped inside. Currently it's 1 of the cheapest USS in the world, Singapore could rake potential tourism revenues from Casinos & USS 2-3 years before Korea's USS is completed. I should go USS someday and enjoy the awesome rides.

Enough of being a couch potato for 1 month.
I'm heading back to wanbao to work as for 2 months, this time not an intern but a temp reporter. Not putting high hopes that i would be paid a hefty,erm...reasonable sum of money cause i had not officially graduated from NP. It may be back to days when I'm like forever caught up in a stressing environment. Still, i need that cash for driving lessons. 2 months seem just nice for me to earn that. 1 plus point about being a temp staff, I'm paid daily, which means i can opt not to work on certain days, provided i give them an early notice. Please, no more mag work for me to stress me out. *crosses fingers*

Chinese New Year 2010.
It was the usual reunion dinner-house visiting-ang pows-bak kwa-ban luck(blackjack). Although I still had the long dry cough, i didn't say no to those cny good food. Hence my condition deteriorate, as i lost my voice right after cny ended. 1 thing I liked about this cny was photo taking with my cousins and grandma, when all the festive mood was captured with a mere click of the shutter .

My dearest laptop died on me on the day after presentation. It was the same problem like last time, a blank screen. Maybe it's too sick already, that's why it just wouldn't start. Hence,i'll NEED to call for a repair next week,hopefully it return back in good shape by next friday or after CNY. (Fyi)I'm using my home pc to pen this quick entry down and gosh it feels really weird, I'm just not used to the hard keypads. I'm gonna be "Laptopless" for 1-2 weeks...

Hitting the big 2

It's scary when you know you're no longer a teen, but in the Twenties club. Somehow i feel that the "big 2" is a major hint that I'm bidding goodbye to teenage years. No more "I'm still a teen","I'm still young",but more of "you're in the 20s club". This means I'm getting older, and soon embarking on a new phase in adulthood. Oh my...that thought alone is scary enough.

Well,thankfully i need not work on my birthday or it'll definitely be self-gruelling and torturous birthday ever for me;given the huge tendency of OTs. Predicting that this might happen if i work,i arranged to switch my off days today(so glad i did).

Celebrated a pre-birthday with zk,caught avatar after dinner. Thank you~ Well today,i spent my whole day with my family(more or least,haha). This year was more of a homely celebration,we bought cooked food back for dinner,not forgetting a cake. But i think every year,it was more or less the same. Just that some years back we dine out or cooked dinner. Yeah, so in 2010, I'm 20,officially!

January is seriously coming too fast and scary. Work is like a daily energy drainage,where OTs are so common and personal time are sacrificed. I liked it when i know it's already 9 jan,and secretly enjoyed my usual countdowns. 14 days! BUT...i just dread datelines! Waking up for work has always been my daily morning blues, and i've got piling assignments to be completed next week.Yeap, i'll be working tomorrow till wednesday, and taking a break on thursday & friday! I do appreciate some personal time. Btw,I'm already predicting consecutive OTs on that week. So,to all those who will be ending your internship this month, just hang on there, we've got 3 weeks left to go. Jiayou~

Dinner @ a shanghai restaurant(Chijmes) with my bosses,colleagues and ex interns of wanbao.
It was a get-together with ex interns cum an early farewell dinner for me.
On that very same day,i had the most horrible,awful gastric ever, because the pain didn't subside after i took gastric tablets. Anyway,the food was pretty good. The good thing about the dinner was listening to juicy stories, ex interns updating their present status, bosses reminiscing past events(something i don't see everyday) etc.

My days in wanbao are ending in 15days! I can't help looking forward to everyday, doing my usual countdowns. But I got a feeling that I'm gonna miss my daily work routine. Oh well, I sure will look forward to the next gathering. =)

Feb to July: China Immersion Trip (Wuhan)
Spent 127 days in china, far far away from home.

Visited Beijing, Three Gorges Dam and Lushan during the trip.

Studied,spoke and wrote chinese for the longest time ever.
As living expenses were much cheaper there, food-shop-play have always been one of my favs.Lack of exercise and excessive eating made me put on 2 kgs when i came back.Thank goodness, i didn't bring back a china accent with me.

Missed my brother's big day on June while i was in china. But managed to capture part of the happy scenes via webcam.

Sep to present: Internship at Wanbao

Started off as a fresh intern in wanbao on 14th sept.

Went for my 1st assignment on the 2nd day.

Learnt that journalism wasn't as simple as i thought.

Survived a few consecutive days of OTs.

Looking forward to Jan 29th.

最近怎么那么多人都去度假？真让人羡慕... 转眼间已经12月，还有多1个月完成实习计划后，就能恢复“自由身”，到时候一定要好好休息一番。*期待*

每当我开始对这份工作产生一丁点兴趣，就会有始料不及的事情，熄灭了这股尚未萌芽的热忱。现实就是这样，很多事都不肯能一帆风顺，反而到处撞壁的事件就常常上演。我也被“你要继续当记者吗”的问题问及了N次，老实说，我真的不知道，现在也不想去想未来的事。心情好我会说：“可以考虑，但不确定”，心情差则斩钉截铁说：“我不要！”。

上个月的假期，过得不怎么样，因为隔天周末要做2天。姐姐一边看戏，一边庆幸自己周末不用做工。最近，我们迎来1个新的实习生，可惜她只做1个月就要回返学校上课。我本来想着，有多一个实习生，就可以减少我一点负担，呵呵太好了。不过，我们同样是实习生，她的工钱还比我多1倍。以时薪来算，她1小时得$5，那么我就等于$2.50，难怪很多做attachment的理工生都投诉自己是廉价劳工。一直以来，我都知道自己的薪水已经少到可怜，所以尽量不去想那么多，只管做好工作。哎~说惨也轮不到我，有些朋友甚至连一分钱都没有，他们才是真正的“免费劳工”。

亲爱的圣诞老公公：这个圣诞节，我不需要什么特别的礼物，我只求能远离工作负担，无忧无虑、开开心心地度过这个佳节。你能帮我实现这个小小的愿望吗？

Working days were getting busier than before,hence the lack of updates.I've been busy with interim report,floorball chalet and more unfinished work.

Interim report is a 2500 words account, i couldn't say it was well written, cause i had only a day to complete it. Floorball chalet was at Costa Sands Resort @ sentosa last weekend. There was a team dinner on friday at Vivocity Modesto,but it was pretty late when i reached home,so i missed a good meal. Woanlin went for the stay over,what i heard from her,it was a comfortable night as they had to squeeze sleeping in a tiny room. Was i lucky not staying over on that night? Anyway,work has been progressing smoothly,i wouldn't say I'm already solely independent to handle huge events,but i am mentally prepared for any arrangements laid out for me.

Time is moving so quickly everyday, half of my intern had already gone, on a lighter note, I'm left with 2 more months to go. There are still plenty of things for me to pick up, and as i pen this entry down, probably in the blink of an eye, I'll found myself soon graduating from poly. This is how fast time travels, sometimes we could be very contradicting; when we are caught in an undesirable situation,we hope time flies like the speed of a lightning bolt;but when we are happily enjoying ourselves,we deeply hope that in that moment time would freeze. Is 24 /7 really enough to spare?

Ktv-ed at Bugis Topone ktv yesterday,on my off day.

The 2 birthday girls,singyee and jinyu were present,together with me,jane,vina and cuishan.

It started from 11am and ended at 6pm. I came slightly later,waking up much later than my alarm clock. I thought i was late,but i was not the latest. Vina and cuishan came after noon time.

At 6.30pm,we met with simin and qianthing at Illuma for dinner at Empire State. Dinner ended at 8 plus after rounds of chitchat and catching up. I was super exhausted upon returning home, and even more lerthagic at the thought of reporting for work on sunday.

Regular 9-5 workers get monday blues and celebrates TGIF,but my inflexible working days didn't allow me look forward to any fridays in the week,particularly when saturday happens to be a working day. So,TGIF is like out of my motivation list. I'm only left with Public Holidays. Omg,my interim report has not been touched yet. Datedues on friday. Rush.

it ain't so easy

I seem to be caught in a endless cycle of work. I seriously think personal life and work should be 2 separate issues. There ought be a line differentiating both elements,where work should be work and personal engagements stays as it is. I can say i had already crossed that line, and kinda mixed both of them together. Most of the times, my off days were taken up owing to the fact that i had been busy slogging at home,working. Am i already going through a lifeless cycle?

Feeling the stress from work,I will ask myself:Is this the early signs of the nature of this job? Inflexible, unpredictable, strenuous and challenging? I've always been asked this question: Will you continue this career after your intern? After weighing the pros and cons, i would say there might be a greater possibility of me saying "no". 1 thing im sure of,if i were to continue in this career path, i will have to give up floorball in exchange for the commitment. What a hefty price to pay!

It's definitely not easy finding an ideal career. Even the most glamorous job,does have it flaws too. It sure ain't easy being a model. Oh...The Pros and Cons factor again.

I've been trying to catch a breather. Work has been so suffocating. I do not mean that i hate this job,but the workload seriously can kill. When my own personal time has been "eaten up" in the expense of completing my work even when I'm back home,i don't even have the extra second of my own. Reading a book,blogging & watching dramas has been marked off my list of personal engagement. Sometimes i get so absorbed in work,i totally lost track of time. I glued myself to the seat for hours, stared at the screen like all the other people in the office and did my usual OTs. The working days come and go, and this scene had become more like a common sight.

Off days=work days.
Doesn't that means working endlessly. It doesn't makes much of a difference,except that it's done at home in my most comfortable environment. It has 1 disadvantage-distractions. How am i able to concentrate when the rest of my family members are happily watching the tv,surfing the web,listening to the music?

Okay,shall blog till here an return back to work.Or else,my work is sure not gonna end.

7 cab rides in 24/7

What did i do this week?

I tagged along with a colleague of mine on tuesday night to watch cum interview cyril takayama,the famous japanese illusionist. He came to singapore to film a new magic series by Axn,which will be aired on Nov. 1 of the things i love about the event was food. Our main course was a fish delight topped with lovely cranberries. Not to forget the dessert served-creme brulee.Yums~

Besides watching cyril from a up close range,the only thing i still vividly remember was hunting for $1 laksa on wed afternoon.It was a news posted on a cj.omy, and the only obvious clues that were provided were: $1 laksa,sungei road trishaw laksa, and it is located at 新长城餐室.

I also didn't expect myself to break my personal record of cabbing 7 times a day. It seems extravagant,but i'll not gonna claim all the expenses from my company,i'll only claim part of it. =)

As soon as i received the laksa task from my supervisor,I immediately googled for $1 laksa on the web,thinking that perhaps someone had kindly written comments/recommendations on that. Heck no,how can i be so lucky?100% of the results i got were $2 laksa from Sungei Road and Hong Lim Market ,not even a sight of my $1 laksa.

So,i decided to try my luck and cabbed down, hoping that maybe the cab driver may know,since they are so familiar with the roads. But it seems that my plain ignorance brought me on a wild goose chase hunt for cheap laksa. NONE of the cab drivers knew or ever heard of that!

Okay,here's how it goes...

1st ride: To sungei road,searching for $1 laksa. Cab driver drove me around the vicinity,trying his best to help me find the shop. He even called a couple of his taxi kakis,but his friends were clueless too. He got no choice but to let me off his cab,else the meter will burst.

2nd ride: From my clues, i decided to proceed to New Bridge Road(my gut feeling),as the name of the hawker centre resembles like the one shown on cj.omy. I walked up on down the stretch of shophouses. Called my colleagues to help me locate the place of the laksa, when i actually knew that chances of quite slim. Okay,at this moment i was completely flabbergasted,almost to the extend of giving up. Plus,i think the weather hates me. It poured so heavily when my mind was close to the state of delirium. Then i asked the owner of the coffee shop and he said that he have another branch at Whampoa.I took a name card from the counter and departed asap.

3rd Ride: I hopped on the 3rd cab,proceeding to my 3rd stop. I arrived at Whampoa Drive Blk 82 and began my desperate hunt for $1 laksa. There was 3 coffee shops at the hdb flats, while i finally reached the 3rd coffee shop. I saw a banner showing"$1/$2/$3 laksa". At last,i found the mystery $1 laksa stall. BUT...turns out that i was 1 hr later. Because another reporter from another evening papers had already interviewed the owner. Still,i kept my calm and began my interview. The shop owner was really kind cause she treated me a $1 laksa, although the portion was little, but it settled my lunch problem.

4th ride: Return trip back to my workplace.

5th ride: Because i forgot to ask for the interviewee's number, i had to make an extra trip back to the $1 laksa stall. That was so dumb of me! I didn't know what i was thinking when i left earlier, but i did hesitated a little on whether i should ask for the interviewee's number.

6th ride: Returning back to my workplace again. A little worn out by all the travelling.

7th ride: Trip back home. OMG,i swear i almost fell asleep on the cab. And i couldn't imagine that i would meet 7 different taxi drivers in just 24/7. Now,a big headache is the cab fare. My posb card value has been draining ever since i used it to pay for the rides.

I personally find the laksa quite good,but $2 portion seems a better deal to fill your tummy.

有一回，我问同事A：“你们当记者会有压力吗？”

A说：“当然会啦，怎么可能没有。”

我说：“那你通常怎么处理压力呢？”

A笑着说：“只要不把工作压力当成压力，就行了”

我追问她：“是不是像阿Q一样，用精神胜利法说服自己？”

A 摇摇头：“其实我会往好的方面想，比如说，压力是自我提升的过程，它有什么好处等等”

我说：“哦...是酱啊”

与同事B闲聊时，我问：“你平时休假会做什么？”

B说：“难得休假，就会陪家人咯，其实一天的时间也不多耶。”

我说：“酱啊，那不会很无趣？”

B叹气：“没办法，做这行就是这样子，很难找时间的...”

我说：“哎...我看要认真考虑以后是否要继续当记者。”

B好奇地问：“那么你休假都做什么呢？”

我说：“看书，看电视，呃...有空就跟朋友出去咯。”

说实在的，日子日复一日地流逝，有时回头一看，真的是无聊乏味。当工作忙起来，我也没有特别的闲情去做其他事，只好把兴趣或计划暂时搁在一边，一切等实习结束后再说吧。

I just have the urge to blog today.

Blogging has been my platform of stress relief, be it in school or work. I am not the kind of person who punch on a sandbag to vent stress nor am i someone who shouts their heart out towards the sea. Please,i know that works on TV but not for me.

Oh my god~ I'm such a bad stress handler,who succumbs to undesired situations,and complain about how pathetic my life is. Stress!STRESS!STRESS! I seriously dread that. I've got awful breakouts on my face, gastric pains,dying braincells... Adding to that, I'm bringing work back home almost everyday. I can't possibly find a perfect day when i will be watching youtube videos without being tied down by the thought of "shit,i've got to complete this by tonight".

So,1 months & 2 weeks of intern at Sph had flew by at a blinking of an eye. What have i achieved till now?Ok,i published a couple of articles,i wrote a health column for Uweekly,i am still learning...Honestly speaking, i can't really raise my hands up in joy and exclaim:"Yes,i'm improving...I've impressed my supervisors, I'm so gonna be good at this(journalism)" Nah nah, i haven't even reach my supervisors' expectations,yet alone my own. Am i'm the slowest and dumbest intern? I had the gut feeling that probably this is the OS of my supervisors. Haha...allow me to be pessimistic cause i feel better if they had thought so too. Ok,I'm a slow budder. But do they do know that? Well,it doesn't matter.

I hate stress.

I hate work.

I hate me.

I just pissed 1 of my interviewee over the phone cause i constantly bugged him 3 times. It's normal he feels it that way,i completely understand. Yes,that's when i had this feeling-I'm screwed...it's no doubt he ever picked up my calls. Anyway,I still had to figure a way out.

Putting aside the stress talk, i finally went for floorball training after a months of MIA-ing. I really glad to be back for training, and somehow i converted my working stress into playing hard on court. I wanna attend more floorball trainings!

Working as a intern in a chinese press was a pretty much fun exposure,it's was on the whole very challenging and stressful. Everyday, it seems as though i was following a similar routine--writing and writing endlessly. Looking back at how hard i slogged my time working for over 14-15 hours, i was caught up with exhaustion and didn't had abundance of sleep to replenish my worn out soul. Sometimes, it feels life had been so mundane and lifeless. The only thing i had with me was self satisfaction. Sadly to say, that was the factor that got me through the weeks.

I'm starting to love public holidays. It was like a bonus resting period,in addition to my regular 5 working days. I checked the calender and realised i had an extra rest day for each month.

This month it was Deepavali.
November, Hari Raya.
December, Christmas the 25th. YAY~
And lastly, New Year Day on Jan 2010.

After work on friday, i met up with Them to celebrate nanxin's birthday at a cafe at Laselle College -15minutes. She officially turned 19 nine months after i celebrated mine. And she gratefully reminded me that i'll be 20 in 3 months time. :(

Saturday,watched the movie Nanking! with zk. An astounding movie that depicts the nanking war in 1937-1938. I liked the black and white style of portrayal in the movie,it makes it reenactment seems like the real thing.

Today. Met up with singyee and cuishan to catch Julie & Julia at the cathay. A lovely movie based on 2 true stories. I can't imagine myself cooking 524 recipes in 365 days, i simply got no time and no ideal kitchen to accomplish this challenge. It was a great day out, catching up with sy and cs... It was hard to meet up since internship starts, and i really have no idea when will i have such opportunity again. Probably after my intern,which is like feb 2010? But,i'm do welcome if anyone ask me out on Thursday,cause it so happens to be 1 of my off days. We can always arrange for meetups,lest you don't mind. Anyway,Julie Powell, 1 of the characters portrayed in the movie is still writing her blog. Do visit her blog if you're interested.

一场真实般的梦境

在熟悉的球场上，我看到队友们勤于练习的身影。
我好像很久很久没有参与地板钩球的练习，是两个月？还是半年了？连我自己都记不起。重新见到一张张熟悉的面孔，不禁感到很欣慰，很开心。如同一个兴奋的孩子，第一次到游乐园那种亢奋的心情，有一股冲动突然涌上心头，促使我迫不及待想抓了球棍就上场练习。

正当我兴致勃勃一只脚准备踏进球场练习时，我却被队友阻止了。
她冷冷地对我说：“几个月没见到你，教练已经选好球员，可惜你没来，所以从今天起....你不属于这个球队。”我愣住了，不知如何反应。顿时，声音卡在喉咙里，发不出声音。

“不属于这个球队？”
我舍命挣扎着，苦苦地喊出旁人听不到的声音。许久后，我终于战胜自己。不过，声音虽然恢复了，但嘴巴像含了一颗颗碎石似的，脱口嘶叫着：“这样对我不公平，我只不过几个月没来练习，我是有苦衷的！”我费尽唇舌，噼哩啪啦地吐出一堆理由，拼命替自己辩解着，只求他们谅解。

突然间，场景变换了。
我发现自己已在下一个故事里扮演一个新的角色。
梦，一直延续着。

忙碌会操“老”

这几天，我不是普通的忙碌，而是超级无敌忙！今年的中秋节，就是这样忙到没时间庆祝。很庆幸上星期提早和朋友庆中秋，不然今年的中秋节除了工作以外，其实就真的很乏味。

最近不喜欢晚上10点才放工那种日子，但是有时候必须赶稿就没办法啦。连续几个晚上都埋头赶稿，让人全身筋疲力尽，而唯一的休息时间只剩下睡眠。我不是超人，没有无限的精力，只有有限的能力。

记者的生活，并没有想象中那么悠闲自在，一旦进入这个圈子，就必须奉献时间和精力。但是，还是要感谢主任们愿意给我机会去采访新闻，使我吸取经验，提升自己。

忙碌的女人，会不会有细纹、皱纹、鱼尾纹！
每天累垮了，连最基本的保养工作都没有力气（或闲情）去做，通常都是马虎完成。几年后的自己，会不会看起来老了十岁呢。哈哈~

I was deep down in my thoughts while on the journey back home 1 day. I saw my reflection from the glass window--i got droopy eyes,messy hair and wore a totally "knocked out" look. I began to picture myself 2-3 years later,doing the same old thing,and probably i'll looked more aged,with strands of grey hair and wrinkles on my forehead! I know it's a bit of exaggeration, but i couldn't help preventing those lingering thoughts. Is that what i want in my future career? Will i enjoy doing this for the rest of my life? Am i willing to sacrifice my time and floorball?

Actually,I don't have answers to these question. I never like to make the choice that determines a change. Career or floorball-choose 1 to proceed in life. Can i have both of them,please?

Yay~it's Children's Day today.
Yes and i'm taking a day's break just like all the primary school kids.

Everyday,my life is surrounded by news & more news.
Be it local,foreign,sports,celeb gossips...
I read about them, and sometimes get involve in writing them.(in fact,i belong to the local news department)

We all heard people saying that "Time is never enough", and i couldn't agree more. Well, the nature of my job definitely proved it all. We are always close competitors with time, especially when it comes to the call of articles deadlines. Sometimes when my confidence wears off, i found it extremely stressful and annoying. But looking back at how my hard work paid off, i realised it motivated me to be more efficient. Imagine if there was no time rule and no rush for deadlines, and a scenario when reporters were too laid-back, i bet there will be lesser news made known to the public. News will not be news anymore, when it's not even new if it was reported few days later.

Anyway,my supervisor called me today informing me that i have 2 news to run tomorrow, including 1 which is held at night. Okay,that means i have to miss this tomorrow's training, and it'll be like 3 weeks of absence from floorball trainings. I really hope i can make it for next week training...or else i will be MIA-ing for 1 month!

Maybe,it's good to be a kid.

This year's mid autumn festival falls on Oct 3rd, but i had an early celebration with nanxin,nanda,pearlin,zixuan,renee&shawn last saturday night. The moon was not fully round that night,it clearly reminded us that we were slightly early for the lantern festival. Opps~

Thursdays are my official off days!
But i have to work on every alternate weekends to compensate for that. I'm still working 5 days per week,just that my off days are different from 9-5 jobs.

So, i met Charmaine for a little meet up after her work in the afternoon for lunch.
We shared about our poly years, about dreading projects & how our poly years flew so fast... Rekindling the past memories, as well as looking forward to our future endeavours.
When you just sit down and chat about the past, glancing back what you have gone through, at the same time embracing the future with our outstretch arms.

Oh gosh,i really must have more meet ups...
I liked the feeling of sitting down with a friend, sipping coffee at a cafe and recollecting our past together. But i'm doubtful i do get the chance and luxury to have more meet ups right now. Time and work is such a concern factor on my list. Sometimes you hope it speeds up like a F1 race car,but there are times you wish you could freeze it in your refrigerator,hoping it doesn't melt away like how it always do.

一直以为在报馆实习，只要努力、虚心学习、敢于尝试，或许我就能凭着些“装备”，学会怎么写一篇好的新闻报道和当个好记者。
现在发现，我的出发点看似理想，但因为心有余而力不足，有时候一不留意或慌神了一下，便忽略一些重要的讯息。明明嘴巴和心里都一直在告诉自己要努力，不许轻易放弃,而我却没有完完全全把这话转换成行动。

我是的想法是单纯吗？电视剧不是常演这些片断，男女主角凭着坚强的毅力，最后修得正果，闯出一片天地。现实工作显然和这种愚昧的想法无法挂钩，事实和幻想必定存有差距。　

不规律的工作时间是记者会面对的，无论早上晚上，如有新闻可采访就要随传随到。OMG~
今天，原本打算下班后去参加地板钩球的练习，不过因为我手头上还有未完成的工作，我就得放弃练习的机会，继续埋头赶完那篇稿。
顺便提一下，我竟然浪费一天半的时间完成它，重新修改两次后才通过主任那一关。哈哈，我的速度慢得像蜗牛一样，难怪主任在给予我耐心教诲时还不忘提醒我要注意时间的拿捏，她句句都是名言真理，我听了之后，思绪竟变得十分清晰，所以连忙点头表示同意。

当时我兴致勃勃准备下班去练习，心里早有打算练习之后就继续修改那篇稿，然后对主任说声Bye Bye，她有些惊讶地看着我，神情严肃地说：“现在你有两个选择：一，撇下这份未完成的稿件，去运动，不过要明天呈交。二，马上完成稿件，好让我批改”。最后，我选择后者。因为我讨厌放置东西不管，我觉得不安心吧，当天肯定睡不好，整夜辗转反侧只因为我没有把今天的工作完成，我自己也觉得难受啊。

回家的时候，脑子突然闪过一个画面，我想象日后也会有同样的状况出现，那时候我或许不能常常与队友一同练习。
抉择，真的很难。
要放弃一个，而选择另一个，就要衡量轻重，挑选较重要的。
英文有句词--Prioritise--，中文意思是区分优先次序，也就是把最重要的事情摆在第一位。
现在，我得学会如何取舍轻重，善于安排时间。

或许可能有一天，我会放弃地板钩球，因为工作关系，还是其他尚未出现原因。
这是我最不想想像的画面，当地板钩球脱离我的世界，那时候的我生活是否依旧精彩？

I've been staying indoors for the past 3 days, i hadn't had the slightest intention to go out to breathe some fresh air,or something like that. I kept myself occupied by picking up a book which i didn't managed to finish before my internship starts. It was enthralling to see how each stories encapsulates the lives of characters from the fictional world, and how i even managed to fill up my little world of imagination by just simply reading (and digesting) words.

This is the book that got me hooked up:

It's tells Ten short stories about love,but not those kind of typical love novels about "how a girl met a boy". I especially love the suspense and thrill laid in the stories. I usually read about love novels that portray pure,long lasting love,but this book depicts love that explores the boundaries. Revenge, mystery and the unexplained truth.

It was my off day today.

I woke up in the morning only to find my throat feeling extremely dry and painful. And, the next thing i know my nose was dripping like tap water.

Visited the doctor in the polyclinic due to a runny nose and sore throat.

There were a couple of patients like me who was waiting at the special flu area with had their mask on. I was the 1st in queue for afternoon consultation, i counted about 6 other masked-on patients behind me.

So,the doctor prescribed me some medicine and gave me 3 days of mc from work and school.

Haha,he thinks i may be a potential h1n1 carrier,so right now i have to be home bounded.That's not really good for a start when only i have just started my internship this week.

Once i got back home,i immediately informed my supervisor about this and she asked me to have a good rest. Actually,i was supposed to be back for work tomorrow and on saturday but now it seems like i got to miss of all that. Unless i want to be a horrible,inconsiderate and evil girl who deliberately wants spread my germs to others. I just think people will start shunning me if they see me with a mask on. haha..meanwhile,i got to take a good long rest before work starts next week.

There are a lot of uncertainties going through my mind.

I know time is ticking and in less than 12 hours time, i'll be working as an intern in sph.
I'm not certain if journalism is the right career for me,that's why i'm trying and taking this opportunity to learn new things which i have not been exposed to yet.

Right now, i'm picturing myself in a 5 months journey which is full of uncertainties and obstacles. I'll never know what's in there for me. Let it be a series of unpredictable events lined up everyday, good or bad, i have to face it no matter what. I have to.

But, one thing i'm pretty sure of is that i'll have lesser time for everything.
No more free time. I'm glad actually,mainly because i would rather be tied down by work than rot my days without achieving a thing. Sometimes,i hate doing nothing. I know it's good that when you literally do nothing at all, you are freed from many things. No work, no school. And also,no life.

Ask me if i'm all set and ready to start this learning experience as an intern, my answer is yes.
I'm prepared and ready to take in new challenges, somehow a part of me tells me that "staying in my comfort zone makes me feel safe and secure". Okay,there is a little contradiction, and a voice inside me says that maybe i'm not really ready after all. I need to break away from all that pessimistic thinking, it would make me grow neither. Please throw that away.

Alright,so i guess i have to put my best foot forward and strive my way through my intern days.
Tomorrow will be the new chapter for me and my friends who will be starting our 1st day of internship. All the best to those who are having all the jitters and nerves, i know we all can do it. I don't know why, but I'll be eagerly awaiting January 29th 2010 to arrive. Well, at least that's my tiny source of motivation for now.

Time Traveller's Wife+The Cove movie outing

Tuesday.
Met zhihui and huiwen to catch Time Traveller's Wife at The Cathay.
It proved just as good as the reviews. Imagine having that ability to travel through time, you are able to cpature images of your past and future. But true enough, these special ability seems ultraordinary yet somewhat saddening at the same time.

After the movie,zhihui returned home as she wasn't feeling well. I went for lunch with huiwen at the hongkong cafe @ PS. We chatted like old friends who hadn't met for years, actually it was my 1st time having 1-1 chats with huiwen. Oh,we should really have chats like this in future.

Today.
It happens to be 9/9/09. Great day to tie the knot for lovers,though the hunger ghost month doesn't bode well for auspicious events like marriage to take place.
I woke up early in the morning all got ready to go for floorball trainings and only to find myself turning back home. Turns out that training has been postponed to 5pm.

Met up with shihui for a movie. I was like 15 mins late.Opps~ sorry shihui for that wait.
Then we walked aimlessly around Orchard Ion. No shopping mood at all.
We made our way back to PS to get our tickets and realised only the front seats were available. So good game to us.Haha... While waiting for the movie,we slacked at mos burger for drinks.

I realised i hadn't update for a week already.
Ever since i stopped working, i had more time.
I actually wanted to have meet ups last week but there wasn't the perfect timings available,hence i was left to stay indoors.Slacking.

Last saturday, i went shopping with my mom and aunty nancy.
She was the one who introduced me to the part time job in that financial firm, and i always wanted to find a chance to give her a nice treat for her kind recommendation. At first, i asked what she would like to have. But she always seem to reject me whenever i asked that question. Then i realised that i was quite dumb cause i had indeed drop an awkward question on her. Obviously she WILL NOT take my offer. I mean it will not be that nice of her if she were to reply me that she needs some bird nest or whatever tonic for nourishment.
So...i decided to treat her to a meal.
And we ate at 鼎泰丰... and stopped for a little while at Ngee Ann City where there was a lion dance competition going on.

Today was the internship briefing and the day we would know of our posting results. I was glad and relieved that i got into the choice i wanted badly. SPH! To me, that was the last straw i was holding on to, so my hopes on that were pretty high. Yes,now im left with 1 more week before this internship starts. So, im really trying to have more meet ups this week.

For about 2-3 weeks or so, i caught the cough virus. It was a dry cough,the kind which is not so serious but gets irritating at times when i couldn't stop coughing. I didn't see the doctor because i thought that a little 枇杷膏or lozenges will do the job.
Guess i was totally wrong.

So,i visited the doctor today.
Oh..the doctor is Dr Kong, he appeared on the newspaper for winning the Good Neighbours Award. While waiting for my number 7 to appear on the electronic screen, i heard a number of patients entering the room saying congratulatory words to him.
When it came to my turn, i spent last than 5 minutes seeing him and i was soon out of the consultation room, waiting eagerly for my name to be called at the counter. After which,I walked back home with my medicine on my left hand and 2 pieces of chicken wings on my right hand. I felt it quite ironic at that moment. But don't get me wrong, i wasn't trying to disobey the doctor's words at all. It was for my sister who had cravings for fried chicken wings.

29th August (Saturday)
Ktv with nanxin, nanda, nisa and renee at bedok cash studio.
My last visit to the ktv was way back in China when the prices were much cheaper. The ambience at cash studio was quite comfy, there were free drinks given to everyone, which turns out to be canned drinks like green tea,ice lemon tea & coke etc. We sang for a total of 3 hrs and paid $13.40 each. Songs from the 90s sang by Spice Girls, Britney, Aerosmith, Westlife, Michael Jackson were up at our list. But nevertheless, we didn't missed our try at Lady gaga's songs- Pokerface...haha,i liked the part that goes "mum,mum,mum,mah..."

31st August

My last day at work.
There wasn't alot of things i had to do.
I called less people than normal days as my workload was spilt between me and the new RO who was taking over my duties.
I received my pay today after my work ended and i met up with my boss.
After a months time of working,i'm back to the days where i would watch the time pass by while i spent it on dramas and books.
Sometimes, it gets boring...
But that depends.

Hadn't have the time for updates since my previous entry.
So here's a little update this week.

On Thursday, there was a floorball friendly with Sim blacks. After 6 long months, floorball finally reentered my life. There were months in China when i really hope of flying back to Singapore just to play the league, or maybe just doing the simple dribble with my stick.
Now, back on court, i felt how ridiculous i had played. Shots off target most of the time, passes not flat and firm enough, controlling of the ball being so rusty and inconsistent. I just couldn't grasp the momentum of the game like last time; i feel more like a machine that needs oiling in order to start up and perform.

Friday.
I love this day more than any of the weekdays. Normally, i derived my source of motivation from the thoughts that are perpetually going through my mind--"TGIF! Yay~Tomorrow is not a working day."
Just like how Napfa tortured my muscles, the friendly on thursday gave me aches. But, usually at the end of this weekday i would be rather exhausted. Most of the times, i yearn for my comfy bed so i can take a break from the long days of weariness.

Saturday.
I worked as a cashier at the annual national library book sale. There was training earlier this week hence i worked lesser hours on that particular monday. Nanda was working as a cashier too...but we weren't posted to a similar counter booth. And Pearlin worked as a packer who counted and packed the books for customers,so it actually lessen the work load we have to do. I always wanted to work as a cashier in a supermarket or somewhere,because i liked to deal with lots of cash.
Yes, but there are some disadvantages too. If we charged or gave the wrong change, we will be held accountable. So there are some responsibilities we have to bear as well. Unfortunately, i will be working for a day only. Which means i get to rest today and slack while i dread the hours come and go, and i'll be soon developing early monday blues on the start of a new day.

等待过后...

终于接到那通迟来的电话，心里的忧虑顿也放下了。

说起来有些矛盾，我每一天拿起电话筒按下一行行陌生的号码，希望能够顺利安排其他人的面试。

但是，我却迟迟没得到我想要的那份面试通知。

每一天在工作时，我真的希望自己的手机会突然响起，即便是打错电话也行，至少我心里会好过一些。朋友接二连三收到电话，我心盼望的那家公司就是不肯打给我。一天又一天地过去，我从盼望、期待，变成失望和灰心。

正在我打从心里想好好安慰自己时，我的手机响了。我立刻停止手头上的工作，静静聆听电话那端传来的声音。哦，是个女的，她说她是代表XXX公司，也就是我日盼夜盼想要接到电话通知的那家公司！那瞬间真的很不可思议，我们竟然在电话里进行了十五分钟的“线上面试”。

没想到那段苦苦的等待始终没有白费，希望一切都会顺利吧。

等待的苦涩味虽然令人难受，但是若是少了之前的苦味，我怎么能体会到等待过后那种甜甜的欣慰呢？

假如...

最近读了藤井树《十年的你》，但说实在的，我不是很喜欢。
小说的前半部分就在吊读者的胃口（而且不是一下下），正当故事开始明朗化，变得稍微有看头时，故事已快要结束了。身旁的朋友对它的评价也是贬多于褒，有些甚至实在读不下去。但是越是这样，我就要瞧一瞧它究竟是否值得我一看。

虽然故事情节拖拉了，我的胃口从一开始也变得乏味，但是它不是没有任何值得回味的地方。在我记忆中，在故事里作者认为人类之所以想象那些“假如你这样，现在就不会那样”的假设是浪费心思的事，我们根本无需这么想，因为到头来这些想象是不会实现的。
这是一种理性的想法，我们应该往前看，不要回头思念挽回不了的结局。
但，我觉得这种假设想一想也无妨嘛。

假如时间可以倒转，我希望当初不会说那种伤人的话。
假如我和你提早相遇，我们现在或许会是最好的朋友。
假如我是百万富翁的女儿，我就不用在假期工作赚钱。

我们有时候会想着“假如的事”，因为我们知道这种假设是一种逃避现实的虚拟空间。
我们知道这些所谓的“假如”是绝对不可能会发生的，但我们却一直想象和期待奇迹的出现。
我们需要安抚一个个失落心碎的心，而惟有天马行空地联想那些“不可能发生的事”，我们才不会纠缠一件我们放不下的事。

哎~假如每一天都是假期，那该多好！

Outing with Cuishan and Junlong.

It was archery at Hougang at 1st, but we decided to head to Suntec instead cos it was indoor.

So in the end, we had our little game of archery at the suntec outlet,called Dm Archery, if I'm not wrong.

The place was really puny-small, there were only space for 6 shooters at a time.

We paid for some team package, consisting of 20 shots for each person, which cost us $20.

But i think 20 shots is really not enough, it was kind of a cheap thrill experience for me,but i enjoyed that alot. =)

We had dinner thereafter @ Fish n Co. And we hurriedly rushed to the outskirts of marina bay to catch the NDP fireworks performance.It didn't last very long though, but watching it at such a close range was quite a fascinating experience.

After watching the last sparkle from that fireworks disappearing into the dark skies, we quickly made our way back home to avoid the large ndp crowd. I was lucky that my bus came early and i was back home in 15 minutes time.

Come to think of it, time passes in a pace so fast that i simply couldn't keep grasps it within my fingers. 1 moment i was at marina admiring the fireworks and the next moment i find myself at home.

I woke up this morning with terrible muscle aches all over my body.

Simple movements like squatting up & down,bending to get things up from the ground and even climbing flights of staircase became such a painful chore.

My muscles felt like they were compressed and squeezed like a squashed orange. I swear every inch of my body is aching. Okay,i think i sounded like some sick old granny complaining of rheumatism problems.

Anyway, i met up with majority of my classmates from T02.

It was a lunch buffet @ marina Seoul garden.

After that, we went shopping at marina where some of us got bought clothes. Then each of us went on our separate ways. Oh man...when we were in Wuhan, all we had to do is to return back to our rooms in the hostel. Yeah..but now we are back home, we can no longer enjoy that little pleasure anymore.

Napfa has been very self-degrading,for me at least.
5 months of break from exercising has greatly proved how my stamina has deteriorated.

Depressed over my shitty results?not really.
But I'm disappointed though. Partly because i had the chance to train my stamina when i was in China and Singapore,but i just continued slacking.
I was just being very lazy and too laid-back. And i didn't quite had the motivation to train then.
After all,i hadn't been exercising since i left for china and it's really hard to take the 1st step to begin exercising all over again.

I have lost touch in exercising.

The stitches i felt while i was going for my 3rd and 4th laps eventually slowed me down. I resorted to brisk walking instead, something i never had done for my past 2.4km run.
My legs turned jelly after i attempted the standing board jump station.
Bad performance again. A huge drop as compared to secondary school years results. My thigh muscles became very tight after that. It felt as though someone was pulling the both ends of my muscles with such humongous force, and although I tried stretching/massaging them, it didn't really seem to ease the pain.

For the 1st time, i really dreaded napfa alot.
Very self-demoralising, i say.
I think i should do some self-reflection.

My laptop has recovered after 1 week's of hospitalisation at HP centre. All thanks to HP for saving it. =) They sent it back to my doorstep when i was busy slogging+slacking at work.

Well...I'm still in the midst of learning, everyday is a bit by bit accumulation of experience.
Sometimes i do have plenty of doubts when i was working, that's why it's always a good practice to ask others when i need help.

I can say the few good things or rather reasons why i chose to work is firstly, an extra income for my own expenditure.Secondly, a built up of experience in a new field of working environment. Thirdly, it kills my boredom during the holidays.

But the price of that comes with less sleep, more weariness and little freedom left.
Anyway,I'm so glad my laptop is back and i think i don't need to pay a cent for that. Great~!

I thought i hadn't got the job since there were no news whether i was shortlisted. So i dialed the number and realized i was shortlisted anyway, it turns out that the boss was too busy and he forgot all about it.

The wait for the interview results kept me hanging for 2 days. I didn't lose my sleep though, but i was just worried. If i were not shortlisted, i will have to start hunting for another job. And who knows what kind of job i want to do? A part of me will be enthusiastically searching at online forum,flipping through newspapers and asking for lobangs, all in the desperate need for a job. another part, probably will lose its patience and motivation. It'll be telling me: don't bother searching, just slack and wait for money to fall. A million dollar Toto or 4D will save the day. And I shall continue daydreaming cause this day ain't gonna come.

Isn't this thought just so Impractical and Pessimistic?

Okay,enough of my random thoughts.
Yesterday,it was Harry Potter Night with Sam, Nanxin, Pearls, Zixuan, Charlotte & Chuan, Renee & Shawn, Nanda and Nanda's friends Mingxuan and Eddie. 12 of us. It was quite a big group.

I was a little excited to watch harry potter, it was my 2nd time(i think) watching harry potter movies with Them. I didn't really enjoy the movie even though i read about it's rating being 3 and a half stars. To me,it lacks the climax or the little punch that would leave a greater impression on me. Or maybe there was a climax,i just missed it or something when i left the movie for an urgent toilet break. But, it's not totally bad after all. Certain scenes when Ron and Lavender was smooching got Hermoine overwhelmed with jealousy and the love that sparkles between Harry and Ginny was kinda sweet. It was just Romance.

Oh...anyway i will be starting my 1st day of work on tuesday. I think i can't go out that often anymore, and that's the price in exchange for freedom. But i got more cash in return. Which means i don't have to worry about being cashless whenever i go out. =)

I hadn't been blogging cause my laptop's sick.
I've been using my sister's lappy instead.
She was nice to lend it to me. =)

I'm now on a job hunt cause my cash is really running out.
Outings with friends have been draining up my $$.
I'm gonna be broke at this rate.

I went for an interview this afternoon,it was a insurance company.
Honestly, I'm not sure how everything went, but i do hope i get the job.
If i had a part-time job, it'll solve all the money issues,such as shopping and outings expenses.

Well...I'm now awaiting a reply from the company. Good news better come to me.
Aww...I have no idea what's wrong with my laptop. It just fails to start.
It started on Tuesday when i tried turning it on,but to no avail despite many failed attempts.

I'm sending it to the Hp, actually the Hp people will be coming over to my house to collect it.
(hah...saving me the trouble to find the company)
I'm not sure if it involves any money, but I'm certain i heard that guy on the phone saying that my laptop's warranty ends in 2011.
Hahaha...i hope it's FOC, so i don't have to fork out extra cash to revitalise my laptop.

Wooh..I'm finally back home after 4 months.
Time passes really fast.
Can't believe i'm back so soon.

Wow..a good thing back home is that i can finally blog openly,like after so long.
China practically banned everything.
Blogger,livejournal,twitter,youtube..and whatever u name it,they will banned it.
And hence,this explains the lack of photos in my previous blog entries.

I'm still trying to adjust back to the life here in Singapore.
Many things around me have changed.
There's 2 new shopping malls which i have yet to visit : Tampines One and Orchard Ion.
Even the additional circle line and the electronic board in the trains gave me some surprise.
For a moment, i felt like some tourist.
I have been here before, but something inside me is telling me that things aren't the same as before.

If u ask me if i missed Wuhan,i will say Yes! And i hope i could stay just a little longer.
Life in China with a group of friends is just not the same as the normal life i go through in Singapore. We can't gather together as a group for a dinner,nor we can meet up for Karaoke and not worry about returning back home late at night.
Restrictions is not a barrier anymore there.
But when it comes back to our ordinary lives in this Lion City.
Some of us are bounded by home rules,others sometimes do not have the time for a class meet up. I guess everything is not the same. Wuhan and Singapore. 2 separate lifestyles.
I liked both of them. I wished to be in both places if i can.

I think i need some time to get over with post Wuhan blues.
And some more time to accommodate to my life in Singapore.

Trip to Sanxia.
Everything was good except that we met with a little accident on the way there.
I was shocked and stunned when it happened. It was just boomed and gone. It happened in just split seconds. That's why our itinerary was affected.
Time was lost and it was too late for us to go rafting.So,we returned back to the hotel for an early night.

Visited some tourists sights in Sanxia.
As the weather turned out pretty fine.Some of us who missed out yesterday's rafting went to raft today.
It was thrilling and VERY FUN~
We returned home late at night with majority of us sleeping throughout the bus ride.

Just less than a week's time,i'll be making my way back home.
I'm left with 5 more days.
I will enjoy myself here!

This week marks the last week of lessons in Huazhong University,and the starting of next week will be a Q & A consultation period. The following week: Exams.
But before i go down to mug for exams,i'm still left with 1 assignment.
Oh yar...after our last lesson today,i went with vina,yiqi and zhihui to 光谷广场 for a haircut.
Now,I've got a new haircut. Hahaha..it's definitely something you guys would never expect.
I'm waiting to surprise my family at the airport when i come back. Hehe...

I've got 2 homework down,and i'm left with another 2 before my exams.
Life has been fufilling in Wuhan,i'm already here for 100 days and i think i will definitely missed here once i'm back in Singapore. We had a surprise birthday party for MS Ta Sze Mian at Sunny Party ktv. She was taken by surprise,and i'm happy that our birthday plan worked. I had my besta time singing k with the class today. I can't explain how i felt,but i hadn't been so high and overjoyed before.

The trip to Lushan was quite memorable.
I was so happy on the 1st day because we finally stayed at a better hotel. It's 3 star rated and the facilties were up to standards. We were stayed in 九江 on the first night and then moved to stay at the hotel in Lushan.
The 1st day of tour in lushan was more of fog than scenery. It was so misty. I find it kinda eerie after i saw the pictures i took. Anyway, i liked 三叠泉 the best. The waterfall was an eye-opener for me. HAH~it's my 1st time seeing a real waterfall,cause i only managed to see it from documentaries. Since blogger is officially blocked in china and i had to blogged anonymously here,the basic functions of posting a picture is not available. So,i posted my pictures on Facebook. My legs are aching from the trip. I think we climbed too many thousands of steps already...It's even worse than we climbed Great Wall.Gosh,i think my stamina is dropping.

以前，我以为曾经相识的陌生人也许有一天会成为朋友，就算只是短短的时间，就算我们的关系只是同学，但是我们也曾经有共处在一起的日子。到分离的那一天，我们各自就得寻找自己下一个道路，放下过去，又重新循环着这种交友的过程。
有些人会茫然地往前走，有些下定了目标便确定自己的方向。我不知道自己应该踏上什么道路？现在看来，我真的不知道，也不想去想这件事。反正，未来的旅程始终会来临，这是迟与早的差距罢了。朋友对我来说的确如同纯金块那么重要，那么贵重。我应该珍惜。
我不知道五年或十年后，我会是怎样的人，是开心、幸福；抑或是伤心、苦闷。
现在，我好想留住时间，珍惜身旁陪伴着我的朋友和同学，甚至是素未谋面的陌生人。

I don't know why,but i'm having frequent gastric pains for the past few days.
There were times i don't eat alot,but it's really rare on the days i hadn't ate a full meal.
In fact,i have been throwing plenty of food into my stomach... sometimes i just don't know where did they go to?
Anyway,i just got back from a fund-raising activity. I swear it sucks totally! Some ah tiongs are just not so generous like singaporeans,they practically ignored us. I know this is supposed to be for a good cause,but somehow i just don't like the feeling of rejection. After such a long day, our total donation cum fund-raising event has raised Rmb 2009. YAY~ That's something to be proud about. A day of hardwork had finally paid off.

Ktv session with singyee,simin and zhihui at SunnyParty. We cabbed down after lunch,and this place looks more like a hotel than a ktv. It's Classy,cheap and comfortable. We sang from 1.30pm to 7pm, our package costs only rmb 98 bucks,it's considered cheap if you split it among 4 people(do the maths). There was a fruit platter,nuts and tea in the package,which is really worth it,and definitely so much better than the previous ktv we went.

I was supposed to be VERY busy with assignments and mugging,but when there were tests being postponed ang assignments deadlines brought back, it made me procrastinated even more.
There was I,in front of my laptop,playing restaurant city and watching gossip girls. Yeah! I love gossip girls alot, i am kinda addicted already. I hadn't really want to blog from the time when i wrote my previous entry cause i was really getting lazier and lazier nowadays. The dramas were so addictive, and having just completed watching Boys Over Flowers, i immediately start watching gossip girls. I'm trying my best to clear most of my assignments, so i can have the absolute luxury time to complete watching dramas and more dramas.

Dinner was at Ajisen, i hadn't quite enjoyed it because i was not even full cause my ramen was so terribly pathetic,but luckily the fruit sundae which i shared with zhihui compensated a tiny bit of my dissatisfaction. We shopped at the supermarket at Chicony.I topped up my tidbits once again so i can munch on them whenever i watch my dramas..
It's like only 2 more months left before i'm back home. By then,i shall eat lots and lots of laksa,ba chor mee, roti prata, hokkien mee,satays...

2nd May 09

It rained for the entire day last night hence i stayed indoors except during dinner time.

The sky was much clearer than yesterday,so singyee,zhihui and i decided to explore east gate(东门). We walked for 25 minutes from our hostel because it was really far where we stayed.

First, we had our lunch at this steak cafe. It was about 1.30pm when we arrived and there were no other customers except us. All of us ate chicken steak set meal consisting of the main dish with toast,soup and tea. It cost us rmb 12.80.Overall,i think it tasted fairly good although the black pepper sauce was a little too spicy.

Next, we shopped at a bugis lookalike place. The things were cheap,i bought a pair of shorts and a tee. I actually fancied a pairof black flats,but they don't have my size 38. Idoit!

We left at 4.45pm after our satisfied buys.

When we were back at our room, zhihui,singyee and i decided to have a "fashion display". Each of us wore what we bought and...we took pictures..Haha. It's Quite fun.

写作与欣赏presentation is finally over today.
I have been pretty stressed up recently.
I think PMSed for umpteen times.
I was VERY relieved once we ended lessons because i'm going to sing k with singyee,zhihui,vina and yiqi.
We went to some ktv near 新世界购物中心。We spent about 2hrs 25mins singing, and left at 7pm because they charge twice the amount after 7pm. There were no drinks,no tibits...just a little room to ourselves. It cost Rmb 62 in total. Rmb 12.40 after dividing it among 5 people. And only 3 plus SGD. It's freaking cheap lah! Where can we get such a price in Singapore?

Labour day is approaching in 2 days. I'm not sure what's my plan...I need more clothes.

I think the food are just fairly nice,but not fantastic enough.

It's quite expensive if you only ordered ala carte,a set meal is more worth it.

Homework had been extremely distressing this week. I hate it when we had to do assignments that require a whole lump sum of factual information. It's true that we just have to google and get the answers, but i don't feel a little tinge of satisfaction after i completing it. The whole assignment sucks totally! It made my braincells shut down cause i literally don't need to think much. WTH~

Last friday, i went back to Kurahashi for lunch with singyee,simin,zhihui,chonglei,cuishan,jinyu and qianthing. As usual, i went back home with a bloated stomach and very delighted smile. I spent rmb 52, a little more than what i ate on my previous trip. We made reservations and we were seated in a replica Japanese style suite, but it's not exactly a suite because we weren't in a separated room, at least we got a tiny space of our own.

Lessons ended in a jiffy. Poof~ and we were let off from lessons. We decided to have lunch at Show Coffee and tea(秀玉餐厅). It looks really nice in there, the ambience inside was classy and cosy. We got a room of our own, i think it looks more like a ktv suite rather than a restaurant.

3rd day in Beijing

The 1st stop we went was 天坛.

As usual,everywhere we went, the place was filled with lots of people.

I only knew that there would be a class excursion to 武汉大学and 东湖 when i left for class today. This trip was supposed to be on last monday but the plans were cancelled or postponed,i'm not really sure... that's why i was kind of surprised that we are going for a little class excursion today. Immediately after lessons, I rushed back to my room to grab more food. Chonglei helped me buy my lunch,it was fried beef horfun-although the taste was horrible,i still gobbled it down my tummy.Our first stop was at 武汉大学, we came here mainly for the beautiful 樱花树.

Early in the morning at 730am,the 8 of us went to 汉口to shop. We hailed 2 cabs there and our 1st stop was 多福路. We went into a wholesale shopping mall with plentiful of shops. Some of the clothes were nice, i saw 1 really chio vest but i didn't buy it cause the shop assistant refused to give a better bargain. Next stop we walked to 老鼠街after asking around for directions and walking on wet and muddy grounds. It rained for a few hours and we were still freezing cold even when we wore thick layers of clothing. Before we did went in to shop in 老鼠街, our stomachs were soon hungry,so lunch was at 豪来客--a restaurant that resembles Han's and Swensens.

After a satisfied meal, we went back to 老鼠街where most of us burnt several holes in our pocket. It was similar to Bugis Street but the things here have more variety and it's slightly cheaper. Then, we took a cab down to 江汉街. There were many shops selling sports stuff like adidas,nike,converse etc. I was more interested in the factory outlet stores they had a few streets away. We shopped till 5.15pm and we finally took a cab back to school. I had sushi for dinner.

I was sooo tired after shopping from morning to evening. 9hrs of continuous shopping was just a BIT too much. I'm exhausted and sleepy. I'll be back to 汉口for another round of shopping spree,well if time permits again.

It's a friday! Yes! I'm so happy today because i have handed up my 2000 words assignment, that means i can shop without a slightest tinge of worry.
I think i've been eating too much for the past few days. Sometimes i feel hungry after a meal, other times i become too bloated cause i ate too much. I know it's not very healthy to be very full after a meal,especially before dinner, but at least i do not get gastrics that often.

The afternoon showers caused the temperature to drop down to approximately 10 degrees, and it was back to the times when it was freezing cold. I had my lunch at the newly opened mini restaurant in cultural street. I had 梅菜扣肉饭,it was rmb 15. Abit pricey but the food was good!

Then we did our groceries shopping at 武商,where i bought a pink mattress and plenty of food to stock up my tiny food storage.

I've been in Wuhan for a month already. 98 days left to go. I guess i'm more or less used to the way of living here. Crossing the roads here have never been more exciting than jaywalking in Singapore, we always have to vie with the cars cause most of them don't stop for pesdestrains. I usually cross the roads when i saw a fellow Chinese walking, normally i will stand in the position where i keep myself safe from the cars.

I called home in the evening cause i wanted to talk to 2 of the little kids my mom took care of,i had actually promised to call ever since 2 weeks ago, but never done so cause i always missed the timing. I really miss them. They are so cute,although they fight every now and become superb irritating like most kids do when they are young,but when they are cute, they can melt your heart. AWw.... I'm just afriad they will forget about me once i'm back.

It was a hectic day. I had presentation rehearsal with zhihui,singyee and simin early in the morning at 745am. Lunch was a bowl of 热干面and some biscuits. We were racing against time cause there were changes made to the ppt slides and we have yet to print our ppt slides and script. Our presentation took up nearly 2 periods of lesson time,which is equivalent to 1 hr 30 minutes. I shan't talk about how we fared but i know we were all relieved of 1 baggage of assignment. So, that's 1 thing to be happy about.

The other happy thing was because it was zhihui's birthday.YAY~ She's the 1st person in our class to celebrate her birthday in china. Although she have qualms about this but i could tell she enjoyed herself tonight. The 15 of us went for dinner at 博雅园 and we were seated at the same suite like the previous time.

昨天早上8点多左右，成绩放榜了。
一直以来我都不喜欢在第一时间查看自己的成绩，因为我害怕失望，讨厌失落的感觉。
我并不想在上课之前得知自己的表现，所以我拒绝上网查看成绩。但是，当我发现身旁的朋友都知道自己的成绩后，我便感到更焦虑了。原本是想让自己迟一点接受事实，但我却在上课时分心，脑子里一直想着我的成绩是否会达到我的理想标准。
上午12点，我还是得面对现实。
结果，我理想中的成绩还是没达到。A的魔咒还是离不开我，却有一大堆B缠绕着我。
不开心。
不满足。
也许是我要求过高，想拥有一些遥不可及的东西。可能是我不够用功，没有发出超过百分之百的努力，所以常常希望落空，然后就埋怨自己的不足。
晚上11点，父母打了个电话告诉我他们收到我的成绩。爸爸替我高兴的，妈妈听了我的牢骚就鼓励我下次再接再励。通了电话，我感觉好多了。

Yesterday.

Massive blackout in the entire hostel.
There was a notice pasted on the lobby informing us that there will be electricity cut-off from 8am-5.30pm. The lifts could not work because there was simply no electricity. Initially, i thought that staying in the 13th floor was the best,adding the fact that we have a balcony of our own. Now,i seriously dread living on the highest level of the building. I climbed up and down 13 storeys of stairs, panting a little and cursing the darn construction works as i climbed the stairs.

The shops nearby were affected by the power cut-off,some had to rely on a power generator.

Our classroom had no electricity too. Our lecturers carried out lessons with the use of a blackboard,it's like back to primary school days. When lessons were over,we went back to the hostel hoping that the electricity and water have resumed. We were told by the security guard that everything will be back to normal by 6 plus. So, i went with simin, singyee and zhihui to 群光for dinner. We had Teppanyaki set meal for rmb 20.

i had chicken steak set meal, with beansprouts, egg and a soup.

After a satisfying meal,we decided to have desserts.

i ordered watermelon gulingao-it's expensive and too watery.

After desserts,we headed back to our hostel. There were still a handful of people gathering outside the building. I'm so glad the lift is working. HOWEVER, the electricity was still not stable yet. It goes on and off every 5 minutes and i had to bathe in the dark for 5 minutes and with the lights on for another 5 minutes. I'm not very sure what time the electricity finally stabilised, because i was too tired and i tugged into bed at 10.40pm. It was the earliest time i slept since i came to china.

Lessons seem rather interesting today, maybe because i was looking forward to go 崇文书城 to buy books. But,i didn't go there in the end. I was actually contemplating whether i should go 崇文or 光谷,because i wanted to go buy my 张小娴books badly.

I finally decided to go 光谷, we had our lunch at 永和豆浆. I ate the most awful 卤肉饭, because they gave too much fatty meat and i felt like puking after swallowing it down my throat. Yucks!

After lunch, zhihui,singyee,simin,chonglei,cuishan,jinyu and qianthing cabbed down to 大洋百货. The shopping mall was extra-homongous!!! I think it was twice the size of Vivocity but the shops didn't interest me much. Perhaps, i haven't tune myself in the shopping mood. Or maybe the shooping mall just gives me a HUGE headache-it's just way too enormously BIG!

I lost count how long we stayed in the shopping mall and after making our way out, we went to 光谷书城.I bought 2张小娴books at only rmb 50. By then,i realised i had only rmb 5.50 with me. We slacked at starbucks for 30minutes before we took a cab back to our hostel. We decided to try the school's taxi bus,but we got into the wrong bus and we were brought to East gate. While waiting in the queue,2 china girls actually thought of cutting our queue. They were bitching behind our back, and we were swearing and bitching in Singlish. I bet they don't understand a single word and i couldn't care less about them too. I think they look like they were attending some Halloween party, 1 of them had her hair dyed blonde and blown up like a Afro. OMG~it's so freaking scary.

Sometimes i feel that the "civilised society" they were trying to promote is far from what i saw here. The traffic don't have strict rules; vehicles honked at you when you are blocking their way when actually you are croosing a pesdestrain crossing with the green man still blinking;99%of the man smoke at all sorts of places(including arcade,restaurants and shopping malls);they spit everywhere. But,sometimes we do meet people who are really nice and friendly. It's just the negativity of this place makes me feel that singapore is such a fabulous city,it has organised traffic and i'm so glad we have a smoking law. So blessed are we. I miss my home.

17 days in Wuhan, 111 days back to Singapore. The temperatures have risen, the sun was out and i took off a layer of clothing.

There are many more places i hadn't explored, a lot of gifts not bought, plenty of local food still not tried yet and a mountain of assignments and homework awaiting to crush me in the following weeks.

And,i'll soon be using up my money for this month,so in some not-so-good days i'll just make do with a Rmb 2 noodles for lunch, biscuits and cup noodles for dinner. I'll have to restraint my shopping urge and start my shopping spree next month when money is not a worrying issue anymore, i hope.

The temperatures in Wuhan goes up and down like a see-saw . Today was 1 of the coldest day i experienced, besides the day where snow fell. It was the cool and chilling wind that makes me shiver, i somehow thought about the AFO trip last year when we ran in the harsh cold. I miss floorball...i want to play badly,i want to hold my stick and dribble with the ball... i want to play with my teammates. BUT,i can't.

I was feeling really tired in class today,i almost dozed off while watching a video clip. To be honest, i wasn't listening to the contents of the video as i simply couldn't concentrate with part of my mind already shut down. Gosh,this is bad. I think i need more sleep.

We were let off very early from lessons today,it's so rare that our lecturers let us go when the time wasn't up. I had dinner with my classmates,the 15 of us ate at 博雅园 inside a guestroom. There were 17 dishes,majority of them were meat and only a few dishes consisted of vegetables. The bill was Rmb 249, which means we each had to pay Rmb 16.60. It so cheap for a meal,especially when everyone had eaten 17 dishes! I'm so bloody full after the meal,after 3 rounds of rice and plenty of meat and brinjals.

Then,we went to a basement shop selling all sorts of things. The notebooks sold here were so bloody nice and cheap. I couldn't stop myself from buying the pretty notebooks. And i bought 5 of them, but i hadn't really thought of how i'm going to use them. Call it impulse buy or an uncontrollable shopping binge; i tried to convince myself to use my $$ wisely, but somehow i just couldn't restraint the temptations of shopping. Yes, i fulfilled my temptations watch my $$ go downhill every time my resistance level loosens.

School has been alright, but ever since we moved into the new building for our lessons,we have to climbed 5-6 levels of stairs just to reach our classroom. It's good exercise for us to start a new day but i rather jog than climb stairs. Lessons ended at 9.40 today and i went with zhihui,simin and singyee to 武商量贩 to buy our groceries. Then we crossed the bridge to have lunch at 永和. I had 炸酱面 and a cup of soy milk. I've been recently addicted in eating all sorts of 炸酱面, it felt as if i was eating the bar chor mee in singapore. I don't know why, but somehow the noodles in china had much Q-ness and texture in them,it's really addictive.

It's been only 13 days since i've been in china. My friends say i'm cold-blooded cause i told them i don't miss my family as much as them. Yes,i agree..the calls were lesser, but i don't have to put my homesickness out in display. I keep them all in my heart. The memories-both good and bad and the little emptiness i feel whenever the night creeps in. I've been dealing with it quite well, i hope, i never wanted to become depressed because of homesick, what i want more from this study trip is the experience and memories i pick up along the way.

A new cultural street in Huazhong University,which is a 5 minutes walk from our hostel was officially opened last friday. There were quite a number of shops selling items like lingerie,soft toys,food,dvds and many more other concept shops-something similar to singapore's inQbox. I bought a number of dvds from a particular shops, majority of my buys belonged to hong kong dramas and english movies.

Sunday was pretty much a slacking day, it was china's 三八妇女节,a public holiday that so happens to fall on a weekend. I walked around the shops at cultural street, exploring any shops that catches my eye. But i'm not in a rush to spend all my money here cause i still have to survive on 1000 yuan for the rest of this month. There was this sushi shop which sells delicious and cheap sushi, if i were to pay the same amount in singapore, i'll probably get to eat only 2 plates of sushi in sakae. So,lunch and dinner was all sushi. :)

The internet connection in Wuhan is irritating. Sometimes there is connection, and when it doesn't have it, i can't use the internet. Hence, the lag in updates.

Friday,6th march.

I had lunch with simin,zhihui and singyee at Guilin street food court in 群光广场. I ordered a bowl of beef noodles and a plate of sweet and sour fish. The noodles are really springy and chewy, and the beef goes very well with the noodles and soup. Then, we explored further to the shops down 群光广场, which sells many more stuffs like clothes,bags,shoes,food and books. Crossing the roads in china is like crossing a rope bridge which swings to and fro whenever you make a tiny move. Scary~!

Why? BECAUSE the drivers here don't stop for pedestrians, 1 thing they love to do is to honk at the pedestrians and manoeuvre their way through the group of people who are trying to get across to the street across. It's crazy and extremely breath-taking whenever we cross the roads, we always have to be on the lookout for vehicles from all directions-there aren't a lot of traffic lights around especially for pedestrians.

Today. March 7th.
A visit to 湖北省博物馆 and a bus tour around 东湖. The bus ride to the museum was quite fast,it took about 20 mins. I was shocked to see people queuing outside the entrance of a museum,waiting to get inside. It's definitely not a common sight in Singapore. The national artifacts was an eye-opener for me because i don't get the chance to see all these ancient artifacts in an up close distance. I was appalled by the rich culture of China, their 5000 years of history is non comparable of that of singapore.

Yesterday,5th of march,6pm.
It was dinner at Pizza hut near 群光广场. We initially thought that our lecturers will be giving us a treat there, but it turns out that they are paying for our drinks and desserts. Anyway, i paid the full amount for my meal because i ordered a set meal which includes drinks,desserts,appetiser, baked rice and chicken wings. It's actually a 'buddy meal',so i shared it with simin. It cost Rmb 110 each,after adding a 10 inch pizza, although it's quite pricey but judging by the amount of food we ate, i think it's kinda worth it.

Gosh...i think my throat's going to be very hoarse after eating lots of fried food. Previously,it's macs and kfc,now it's pizza hut. Anyway, i counter that by feeding myself with plenty of lozenges to prevent a sore throat. I hope it works,so i can have the luxury to taste more local delicacies here. :) Oh yar,Pizza Hut is called 必胜客in china...it's so off lah,i thought it will be called 比萨屋.

Went for an early lunch after lessons ended at 10am. It was my 2nd macs in china and i ate a spicy pork burger meal. The Macs here are NOT halal cause majority of the people eat pork. Then,we went to 武商to shop. I bought a pair of gloves for Rmb 12 after we got 20% discount for buying 4 gloves in total. Zhihui got a black coat,simin bought a pullover and i got a black sweater. But, we couldn't shop for long as we still have another lesson at 2pm. Oh...and i bought some books along the way back. There were some english novels sold here,it is cheaper,the quality is not as good as the books in singapore. But, I more concerned about the contents of the book rather than the paper quality.I actually thought i would detached from all english medium except the internet while i'm in Wuhan, thank god i have these books to keep me company when i'm bored.

Dinner was fried noodles with meat slices from the hawker in Huazhong University. It's also very cheap--just Rmb 5 for a fairly large portion! Decorated my study table with photos of all the people i missed. I actually wanted to make a heart shape with all the photos but there wasn't a suitable place to paste them. I have been in Wuhan for 6 days, i think i'm almost settled down already. Except for the chilling weather and the thick clothes we put on,everything is alright. Hah..so far so good for now.

It did not snowed today.

The temperatures have dropped slightly but it is still very cold. I wrapped myself everyday with 5 layers and it's such a chore to put on them on. Xuan xuan laoshi wore 7 layers but she still looked so slim. There was the multimedia tutorial and i'm seriously lagging behind the class. My mind went blank when i saw those chines words on the school's computer. Imagine having to find a file, and you have to search for "programs"-"documents"-"file A" all in chinese words before you finally locate it. OMG~This module is gonna kill me with all the chinese html codes!

Class ended at 5.40pm. We left hurriedly back to our rooms.

Oh...met a few overseas students staying in the same hostel. There were africans, koreans,egyptians,europeans...I'm hoping to make lots of friends here...haha~ and 1 thing about them,they can speak chinese pretty well!

As usual, grocery shopping for toiletries had become something very common for me. I went to 2 supermarkets for all these little purchases. 1 looked like the Sheng Shiong Supermarket in singapore, while the one i liked best was like a replica of cold storage. I have been too tired to blog everyday because i was usually in my sleeping mode after i had done all those tidying,packing and other random stuffs in my room.

Anyway...the weather is still extremely cold in Wuhan. I am still freezing whenever i walked out of my cosy room and into the bustling streets filled with people all bundled up with thick clothing;it's not a usual sight to see that in singapore. Had steamboat for lunch. It cost Rmb 31.50 each, which is only about S$7.20. The steamboat was overall quite filling and satisfying, eating that in a cold cold weather like wuhan is damn shiok!

My 1st day of school in wuhan. I woke up on time because we had to be punctual for all our lessons,i heard the lecturers are rather strict with that rule. The weather report online said that there would be snow on last friday and saturday, i waited and anticipated the snow flakes to fall like a Suah-kuh kid who had never seen snow for the 1st time. Yeah,fortunately it snowed in the morning when i just awoke from bed. I was excited to see and feel the snow today,but it wasn't that heavy for me to build a snowman. The temperatures plunged down to zero degrees and the 5 layers of clothing i wore was not even helping to keep me warm. Actually, my fingers and toes were the ones that were suffering; they can freeze into ice cubes and become numb until i couldn't feel a thing. I seriously need another set of winter coat...but i'm not shopping anytime before i'm done with my budget list.

After class ended at about 4pm, we went to send part of our dirty clothing to the laundry shop nearby. I got myself a pair of made-in-china long johns,haha..i must start making myself cheena-ised here so i can fit in well and not complain so much about their products. It's like only my 4th day here and i can't stop spending money on groceries and more random items that i need for my room. I will upload pictures of my room asap,once i'm happy with my room arrangement and deco. =)

1st day in Wuhan

Hi everyone..I am now in Wuhan,china. It's freaking 3 degrees, my feet turned too numb cause it almost froze into a ice cube. Initially, it thought the weather forecast says that there would be snow in Wuhan,so i was a little excited that i could see snow for the 1st time...It didn't snow a single flake when we arrived at the airport but the cold weather is really such a pain. Now, i think i'm gonna miss the hot weather i've enjoyed and complained about when i was in Singapore.

There will be a couple of things we are going to do in the next few days. 1st, groceries shopping for household items. They don't provide toilet roll here so we got to buy everything ourselves. 2nd, a tour around the school. 3rd, school starts here on monday. So, i'm not very sure if i can blog often to update what's going on here in Wuhan.

Okay...I've got a china phone line but it's not yet activated for international calls and msgs. We're all be making our phone line activate overseas.

I'm leaving for china in less than 6 hours. Everything has been going very fast,my exam ended just this monday and now i'll be flying over to china on friday. I can't say that i'm fully prepared(both mentally and physically) for this trip, because on one hand,i really want to stay in Singapore as i am now... But,at the same time i'm excited that i'm going overseas for a study trip.

Tuesday.
It was 9am and i was in school trying to complete the final bit of my video project. Everything should have been completed on monday but the school's computer was just to problematic. So,i sacrificed my sleep to come back to school with qianthing and shinru. We were lucky that our problem was solved and we went back home at 10.25am. Finally, my last project is over.

Met sam and steph at starbucks before going to the dxo appreciation dinner. The food there was bad and the aircon was freaking cold inside. I tried taking photos with lmfc mates,so that i can keep a picture of them when i'm in china. I was glad we could leave early because i think we can't really do much besides camwhoring,drinking free flow of fruit punch and coke and chatting in our own group.

Consulted shi laoshi with zhihui for our conlan exam. Then we met chonglei,cuishan,vina and boon pin to have bakuteh at chondlei's dad stall. It was overall quite nice and i can't believed i swallowed down the fats of the meat, i felt so guilty after eating it.

Went for my 2nd last lm training. Maybe i'm gonna miss trainings with my lmfc mates during the time i'm in china, that's was why i felt that i played harder compared to normal trainings. I know i will miss out alot in floorball, the whole entire league gone by the time i return from china. I'll treasure my final training with you guys next week. :)

Went shopping with mum to marina square and suntec to get stuffs for my china trip. I'm sorry i made her walk around with me going to shops and shops just to purchase all those items. I've got my long john,shampoo,panadol and gastric pills.... when i did the sums after i got home, i was kinda shocked. Yes,my china trip is drawing closer and closer as the day passes. There is like only less than 2 weeks before i fly to china.

Celebrated valentine's with them at the esplanade. Renee,pearls,sam and me had dinner at thai express. There was a free concert nearby and we sat down listening to the good vocals and soothing music. Then,we had haagan dazs ice cream while we sat and waited for nanda,zixuan and charlotte. pearls,nanda and charlotte then received a ride from charlotte's dad cause it was too late. What a tiring day even though i hadn't had a date. Haha~

I'm so glad that presentation skills debating presentation was over. I think i fared okay, it was neither too good nor too bad. Danny yeo said i had improved compared to my previous failed presentation when i was too nervous. Now,im just left with video editing & conlan exam. But, i'll be flying to wuhan just 4 days after my exam. By then, i should be busy packing my luggage and meeting up with my friends. 1 thing to look forward after the presentation was the excitement of buying a camera. I went with jinyu to Bukit Banjang Plaza to get our Sony cameras. Jinyu got a pink T77 while i bought a red T700. We were really brimming with joy after we purchased our cameras, cause i think we were satisfied with our buys. It was expensive and the price burnt a large hole in my posb account, anyway i think it's worth it. I love my new camera. And I can't wait to take lots of pictures!

Yesterday,it was the long awaited briefing for my china trip. Our parents had to be there for the briefing too. I saw many of my friends with their parents, and some of them look exactly like their parents. Dad came cause mom had to babysit kids. He rode his bike to school and i actually thought that i would go back home alone as i had not once sat on his bike before. The briefing was more detailed compared to previous ones i had.
Anyway, i still have assignments,projects and 1 exam to clear before i leave for Wuhan, China.

OH...and right after the briefing, i sat on dad's bike back home. It was the 1st time i sat on a real motorbike, other times were just arcade bikes,haha... cheap thrill for me when i was young. But, now...it's all real. I could feel the wind blowing and brushing across my face as we rode along the expressway. That's so exciting! Thrilling! And memorable. Cause my dad don't really *longpang* people that often. How many times in a year can i get this opportunity to sit on a bike again, especially on my dad's bike?

我不想为了一个人而让我的博客（blog）变得一个骂人网站，就算我写下这个人有多么坏，多么可恶，那么无聊，白痴，又惹人厌，这个人始终是不会改变的。这也不能改变任何事，到头来一切还是归零，真的是浪费我的力气和心思去辱骂他。但是，如果我不把心中的不愉快吐出来，我会就觉得不痛快，心情会变很坏。

你口声声说我们没做到某某某件事，但你又何尝亲眼看到我们在背后所付出的心血。我不能说我们做得特别好，但是我们已竭尽所能完成各自的任务。我承认，瑕疵是存在，小小的错误也有犯，但请你记得人类不是完美的，我们不可能做到100%。你若是明白事理的人，你就会谅解。但，很可惜，你不是！！有些事情面对面解决不是更好吗？为什么要在背后投诉，甚至发一连串的简讯伤害人家，而不正面提出你的不满。I don't understand...你到底在逃避还是根本不屑理会我们的感受？！我原本对你还有些宽容，觉得你不算完全是恶人。可是我想，现在我对你的那一点点宽容心已不复存在了，我的忍耐度也快到极限。发飙是我最不想看的局面，因为我真的不希望这么做，而且我为什么要为一点小事让自己的血压无故升高呢？这是最最最不值得和不理智的行为。因为，生气是解决不了问题的。

It's been a week since i last blogged. Time was such a factor for me that i don't really have the time to update. I still have ongoing projects and assignments due to be completed in this week and the next. I shouldn't be blogging today but some people are just so unreasonable that he gets over my nerves.

Today's presentation was bad, it was not what i expected. Hopefully,it's now over. I don;t have to think about it again and we no longer have to work with him again. I can't seem to understand why some people just have the "gift" to become an eyesore. maybe it's bad EQ and poor personality...but who knows. maybe i should pick up learn photoshop skills. Heheh..

Okay,enough of my evil rantings. A little update last week.

We were invited to his house for a bbq. I was really contemplating if i should go for this class bbq or lmfc's cny gathering. A dilemma, i guess.In the end,I chose to go for the bbq. I think it was quite fun.

A different CNY

This year's chinese new year is so different. For the very first time, i went cny visiting without my parents,it's only me and my elder sis. And because we were the only people left in our house, we had to do all the household chores. My sister really found it a chore, but i think it's a great chance for me to practise my housekeeping skills right before my china trip. Since the both of us can't drive yet,we travel by cab almost everywhere we went. The total cab fare added up to $54.80. Damn expensive lah! And we poor thing had to fork out the cab fare ourselves. Mum forgot to pass me my allowance before she left for china. I think i'm going broke cause of this!

Anyway, the 2 best thing i look forward to during cny is collecting angpaos & gambling. I don't gamble alot, my bets were usually small and i played Blackjack most of the time. I don't mind mahjong, but must find khaki first. Today's dinner was settled,or cooked by my sis and I. It was not very sumptuous,but i'm glad we made a meal ourselves. We actually don't get to use the kitchen that often when mum was around at home,cause she would normally shoo us away or let us watch her cook. Haha..now we have the freedom to cook whatever food we like,but i guess this is all done within our means. After all, i were are not celebrity chefs who can cook different types of dishes. Okay, it's time to brush up my cooking skills. But first, i think i should get a really good recipe book. Yeah,probably by the time i am china,i can cook for my friends.

I can't believe i chionged this afternoon to buy my new year clothes. Mum accompanied me to marina square to buy my last minute new year clothes. She nags that i kept buying new year's clothes in the very last minute...but what can i do,I'm really busy this month. Got 2 tops but no dresses even though i wanted to try wearing them this year. By the way,it's VERY last minute so i can't possibly force myself to like a dress at first sight. It's so hard. After i was done with shopping,we took a bus back to parkway. And i met sam,renee and pearls on my way there. Mum went to exchange Chinese yuan for her china trip tomorrow. My whole family,except my elder sis and i, will be going to china for new year visiting cum vacation. As the new year approaches,my china trip to Wuhan is drawing closer and closer. So it's 2 more days to Chinese new year & 34 more days before i fly to china.Wohoo~

I'm sooooo tired! School work and projects have been draining off my energy. Video,global,video,presentation skills and video again. This week is a such torturous;i really dread it. I don't think i even have the time to buy new year clothes. I've seriously got no time. Chinese new year is only 5 days away. OMG~Please let time fly faster this week.

Just the day before my 19th birthday, i went for lmfc training. It was a friendly match with SIM girls team. I tried my best to make it to tsh on time but the talk on china's trip ended quite late. So,i was late for training. It was great to play with the team after 3-4 weeks of rest since Christmas. I managed to get score a goal,with a little help of luck. After the match, the team celebrated my birthday just outside the sports hall.

The 1st day of being 19. I can't say i was really looking forward to become 19, cause i didn't felt as excited as i were when i turned 18. There was lessons today. I had Presentation skills lecture and a group talk with danny laoshi regarding our presentation project next week. Lunch was at Makan Place again,i have been going there for lunch ever since it opened. Singyee,zhihui and simin gave me $30 Taka vouchers while cuishan,chonglei,jinyu and qianthing got me a cute photo frame and a keyring torch. Thank you all for the presents! :)

This is the last game for NP in this year's IVP. Missed half of my class because i had to leave early for my game at 3pm. We played hard against NUS but i guess we didn't had as many shots as compared to them,so we lost to them 2-5. It's the seniors last match before they graduate from Ngee Ann, and it will be not the same without them. So,we took pictures together for the very last time in our jerseys.

I stayed on to watch charlotte's game against NYP. TP won by 3-2, charlotte scored a goal. Then i continued to watch Twins' match against SMU and 1/3 of NTU vs RP's game. I was already dying of hunger when we left and i felt my stomach churning. I got gastric pains and could not join charlotte and friends for dinner at TM. Pearls took the train back with me as she was also feeling very worn-out.

Picnic with THEM at marina barrage to celebrate my birthday. Sam,charlotte,nanxin,nanda,zixuan,pearls,renee were there. We occupied a pavilion and laid out the food on the mats. The wind was SUPER strong because i felt my hair flying in all directions. The surprise of my birthday was to fly a kite.YAY! But we didn't managed to fly a kite because the wind was blowing in all kinds of direction. Thanks guys for the kite-flying plan,although it's not so successful but there will be another time when we can get the kite up the sky. We sort of lepaked after eating,the cooling wind made it so comfortable for a nap. We had mango cake,it was yummy. Thanks guys for the birthday celebration at marina barrage. I'm so glad you guys thought of the kite flying idea.

{To all my english readers,the following post is in chinese. It's gonna be another cheena post ,but rest assured it's not a lengthy one. } it's readable.=)

19岁生日，我没有特别的期待。总觉得在一月出生的宝宝都得匆匆地过生日，因为新的一年刚开始不久，生日就到了。我觉得我老了啦，最快过生日通常是我，然后我又匆匆地过完一年365天里重要的一天。生日。。。是特别，但有家人朋友的陪伴，我相信我会很快乐，很满足。
早点过生日就是比别人老一岁，有好处也有坏处。在朋友当中，我算是“大姐”吧。因为大家的生日都不是在一月里，所以我理所当然成为最大，最老的。我不知道为什么今年的生日，我没有很紧张或兴奋。反而是，我觉得很平静。也可以说，我是以平常心看待这么重要的日子。这是好事还是坏事呢？哎~
今年的生日，我会快乐吗？

Im exhausted. Had matches on 2 consecutive days. Looking back on the 2 matches we had,I think i can do better, but somehow i couldn't perform on the right situations. Missed those opportunities that were given to me and i really think if i had been more consistent with my shots, i could have bagged in a goal for NP yesterday. Argh... I've got muscle aches and bruises from IVP but i know that's nothing compared to charlotte's prized bruises.

Today is Saturday but i had to go back to school for open house. Yes, i am sacrificing my sleep for cca points. I think it's not worth it but i can't back out in the very last minute. Anyway, it was kind of slack cause we had more than enough people to tend the booth. Jinyu and me were the only CHS students helping out in the magic booth. When we ended our shift, we made our way to vina's house for project discussion. It end up that we didn't make much progress in our discussion. So... we slack again. Oh my, i'm like procrastinating at the start of the new year.
